En este art\u00edculo te explicaremos en qu\u00e9 consisten los esguinces de tobillo, los distintos tipos que existen y c\u00f3mo tratarlos. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un esguince o torcedura en el tobillo?<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El esguince o torcedura de tobillo consiste en un <\/span><b>desgarro leve o grave<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de uno o varios ligamentos del tobillo. Es decir, s\u00f3lo presenta <\/span><b>micro-roturas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. El dolor es peque\u00f1o y pocas veces se presenta inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Grado II: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">este grado es <\/span><b>moderado<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, los ligamentos se rompen parcialmente y la articulaci\u00f3n del tobillo se nota demasiado laxa. <\/span><b>Cuesta apoyar el pie y poner peso sobre \u00e9l. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El dolor es mayor y se presenta dificultad para caminar, existe inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Grado III: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">estos esguinces son los<\/span><b> m\u00e1s graves <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">debido a que se presenta una rotura completa del ligamento. Esto significa la rotura total de un ligamento del tobillo. <\/span><b>Duele mucho, se hincha y en general no se puede apoyar el pie desde el principio.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> No se puede caminar, es probable que se aprecie un gran hematoma. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>\u00bfC\u00f3mo tratar un esguince?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Te ofrecemos varios <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tips<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a tener en cuenta siempre que se presente un esguince de tobillo:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es de suma importancia <\/span><b>dar tratamiento<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en los primeros dos o tres d\u00edas desde la torcedura, ya sea un esguince leve, moderado o grave.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>No dejar de mover<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> el tobillo. Si el esguince no viene acompa\u00f1ado de una fractura, lo mejor es moverlo. En caso de no moverse, lo que produce es la atrofia de los m\u00fasculos y p\u00e9rdida de propiocepci\u00f3n (uno de los sentidos m\u00e1s importantes, que permite ubicar el cuerpo en el espacio).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Aplica un vendaje funcional<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> para caminar lo antes posible. Es un vendaje que puedes aplicar en el tobillo y <\/span><b>restringe el movimiento ocasionado<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> por el esguince.
