Cardiologist of international standing with more than 23 years of experience in the comprehensive management of the cardiovascular system.
A national and international reference in the management of elevated cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)), two of the most relevant cardiovascular risk factors in the prevention of heart attacks and strokes, with expertise spanning advanced diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors and diseases — including myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias and hypertension — as well as advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
A graduate and PhD in Medicine from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Dr. Pérez de Isla trained as a Cardiology specialist at Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón and now serves as Section Head of Cardiology at Hospital Clínico San Carlos and Associate Professor of Cardiology at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, combining clinical practice with teaching and research as the author of more than 300 publications in high-impact international journals.
